Something Has Changed at Utility Warehouse – And the Timing Couldn’t Be More Important!

Every so often, I come away from an event feeling genuinely excited about what’s ahead.

That’s exactly how I felt after Amplify 2026 on Saturday……

I’ve been involved with Utility Warehouse for more than a decade, so I’ve seen plenty of changes over the years. But what was announced at Amplify felt different.

Why?

Because right now, people need help.

Families are watching the cost of seemingly everything creep upwards. Food, fuel, mortgages, rent, utilities… it all adds up.

And energy is firmly back in the spotlight.

From 1 October, Ofgem’s Energy Price Cap rises to £1,723 for a typical dual-fuel household paying by Direct Debit – around a 4% increase. And the outlook for January is causing even more concern, with current industry forecasts suggesting another potentially significant increase when the cap changes again on 1 January 2027. (Ofgem)

Of course, January hasn’t been decided yet. Energy markets move constantly, and Ofgem won’t announce the January cap until later in the year, however, the prediction is around 20% or more!

But one thing seems very clear to me:

Doing nothing and simply hoping bills will come down isn’t much of a strategy.

So what changed at Amplify?

Quite a lot!

Utility Warehouse has strengthened its proposition across the household services most of us are paying for anyway – energy, broadband, mobile and home services – with the aim of helping customers bring those everyday costs under better control.

And some of the changes are genuinely exciting. 😀

New qualifying customers can now receive up to £250 in Cashback Card welcome credit, while UW can provide up to £400 towards eligible early termination charges to help people move away from existing contracts.

Broadband has also had a major shake-up, with UW describing its latest Full Fibre pricing as its best and cheapest ever, with speeds available up to 944Mbps depending on availability.

Mobile has become another particularly exciting area, with new propositions designed to make keeping the whole family connected considerably more affordable.

£13 for unlimited everything, including EU Roaming on 5G

Or if you’re a light user just £6 again for 10 gig data on 5G including EU roaming

And then there’s something I’ve loved about UW for years – the Cashback Card.

Instead of simply paying your normal household bills and accepting them as a fact of life, customers can earn cashback on everyday spending at all retailers, which is then used to reduce their UW bill.

You’re spending that money anyway. Why not make some of it work harder for you?

But for me, Amplify was about much more than cheaper bills

This is the part that really excites me.

At a time when many people are asking:

How can I reduce my outgoings?”

Others are asking:

“How on earth can I bring some more money IN?”

And sometimes the answer can be both.

UW Connectors

UW’s Connector programme means businesses, organisations and individuals can introduce people who might benefit from a household review – without becoming a Utility Warehouse Partner themselves.

Following Amplify, there’s currently an additional Connector Boost Bonus of up to £400, on top of the normal Connector rewards of up to £500, for qualifying introductions during the promotional period running to 31 October. That’s £900!! For helping your customers, spectators, Club members or even yourself

For small businesses, hairdressers, tradespeople, clubs, charities, schools and community organisations, that could create an interesting additional source of income simply by connecting people with someone who can help them.

And for those looking for something bigger, there is also the UW Partner opportunity – building an additional income alongside whatever you already do.

This is why I believe conversations matter right now

I don’t want people frightened by headlines.

I don’t want anyone making rushed decisions.

And I certainly don’t believe everyone should change everything just because somebody tells them to.

What I do believe is that we should know our numbers.

When the economy is challenging, one of the simplest things we can do is look at the money already leaving our bank accounts every month and ask:

Could this be better?

Could your energy cost less?

Could your broadband cost less?

Could your mobiles cost less?

Could your normal shopping actually help reduce your household bills?

Could switching several services together make a meaningful difference over a year?

And perhaps the biggest question of all:

What if you’re currently overpaying and simply don’t know it?

That’s why I’m offering straightforward household reviews.

No pressure. No obligation. No assumption that UW will be right for everybody.

Just a proper look.

Because you don’t know what you don’t know.

More money at the end of your month

That has always been at the heart of what I do.

Sometimes that’s about saving £20.

Sometimes it’s £50, £100 or considerably more.

Sometimes it’s helping somebody discover an additional-income opportunity they hadn’t previously considered.

But ultimately, it’s about giving people options.

And in the current economic climate, I think options are incredibly valuable.

I’ve spent more than a decade helping households understand their essential bills, and I’ve never felt more enthusiastic about the conversations I’m able to have following Amplify.

So, if you haven’t reviewed your household services recently, perhaps now is the time.

Don’t wait for October.

And don’t wait until January arrives and wonder whether you could have done something sooner.

Drop me a message saying “YES PLEASE” and I’ll happily take a look at what you’re currently paying and show you whether there’s anything worth changing.

You might discover you’re already in a great position.

Or you might discover something that puts significantly more money back into your household over the next 12 months.

Either way, you’ll know.
